1. Scope of Work

Rachel Foster (“Photographer”) will provide portrait photography services using 35mm film, including digital delivery of scanned images via an online gallery.

• Mini Session: ~30 minutes, 1 roll of film (~20–25 edited scans)

• Signature Session: ~90 minutes, 2+ rolls (~40–50 edited scans)

• Film is processed and scanned by Richard Photo Lab.

• No raw negatives or unedited files will be delivered.

2. Payment Terms

• A non-refundable retainer of 50% is due at booking to reserve the date.

• Remaining balance is due 1 day before the session.

• Payment can be made via Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, or another agreed method.

Cancellation Policy:

• If Client cancels with 72+ hours notice, they may reschedule once within 90 days. Retainer is non-refundable but transferable.

• No-shows or cancellations under 72 hours forfeit the retainer.

3. Turnaround & Delivery

• Final gallery delivered within 3–4 weeks via email.

• High-resolution scans for web and print.

• Photographer does not guarantee a specific number of images due to the nature of film.

4. Artistic Rights & Editing

• Photographer retains the right to select final images delivered.

• Minor edits are included. Heavy retouching (skin, body, object removal) is not included and may incur an additional fee.

• Editing style is consistent with Photographer’s portfolio and final.

5. Copyright & Usage

• Photographer retains copyright to all images.

• Client receives a personal-use license:

  • ✔ May print, post, and share with family.

  • ✘ May not use for commercial purposes or resale without written permission.

• Photographer may use images for portfolio, website, and promotional use.

6. Liability

Photographer is not liable for missed shots due to circumstances beyond control (weather, uncooperative subjects, etc.). In the unlikely event of equipment or film failure, liability is limited to a refund of fees paid.

7. Travel Policy

Photographer is available for travel sessions domestically and internationally.
Client agrees to cover all travel-related costs, including airfare, lodging, ground transportation, and per diem/meals, in addition to the session fee.
Travel costs will be invoiced separately and must be paid in full prior to any travel being booked. Photographer is happy to travel globally if costs are covered.

8. Model Release (Optional)

☐ I do not agree to allow my images to be used publicly.

I’m a film photographer based in [Your City], and I create honest, emotional portraits using 35mm film. I’ve spent the last 15 years photographing the people I love—friends, family, and fleeting moments—with an intentional, slow approach. After over a decade of shooting for joy, I’m now offering my work publicly as a full-time artist.

I shoot primarily with Kodak Portra 400 and Tri-X 400 on my Canon F-1, and my film is developed and scanned by Richard Photo Lab to preserve every detail. My goal is to create photographs that feel lived-in and timeless—images that honor small gestures, natural light, and genuine connection.

• 30 minutes
• 1 roll of film (~20–25 images)
• 1 outfit, 1 location
• Online gallery of high-res scans

Perfect for individuals, couples, or small families wanting a short and sweet portrait experience.

📷 Signature Session — $550

• 90 minutes
• 2+ rolls of film (~40–50+ images)
• 1–2 outfits, multiple locations if desired
• Thoughtful, natural portraits with room for movement and storytelling
• Online gallery of high-res scans

All sessions include the cost of film, developing, and scanning.
Turnaround time: 3–4 weeks.
Prints and albums available upon request.
